Dominion Tactical Group was founded by two U.S. Army Rangers who refused to accept the status quo.
Chris Alvarez and Brian Christian spent their formative years in the 75th Ranger Regiment—the Army's premier direct-action force. They led missions in hostile environments where precision meant survival and hesitation meant casualties. They learned that excellence isn't optional when lives are on the line.
After transitioning to civilian life, both continued serving in the security industry—training contractors, protecting high-value assets, and certifying security professionals across the Mid-Atlantic.
Security training had become a compliance industry. Eight-hour courses crammed into rushed classrooms. Minimal hands-on practice. Zero stress inoculation. Officers were being certified—but not prepared.
Chris and Brian built DTG to fix that.
They designed an academy where students don't just memorize policies—they execute techniques under pressure. Where instructors don't just lecture—they demonstrate what actually works in the field. As the Director of Security Training for Patriot Group International, Chris oversaw the development and execution of a standardized, high-performance training program for over 130 protective personnel across multiple locations.
A 20-year U.S. Army veteran (retired Master Sergeant, 2016), Chris served in Army Special Forces, with qualifications including Ranger, Pathfinder, Jumpmaster, and Military Freefall. He completed five operational deployments to the CENTCOM and SOUTHCOM regions, leading platoon-level kinetic operations and advising elite host-nation forces in complex environments.

Chris Alvarez is a Maryland State Police (MSP)–certified Security Guard Instructor and MSP–qualified Handgun Instructor under Centennial Protection Group, providing instructor support to Patriot Group International’s (PGI) comprehensive security training program. He has personally taught over 57 certified MSP Security Officer and Handgun Qualification classes, ensuring strict compliance with COMAR and MPCTC standards.
